Friends of Woodcraft

What is the Friends of Woodcraft?

The Friends of Woodcraft is a group of likeminded people who give up their time, house space, energy and whatever else it takes to raise much needed funds for us The Reading Woodcraft Folk Pioneers.

Who are the Friends of Woodcraft?

These likeminded people consist of members and former member’s parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and even some friends spear headed by Tony and Mia Morley & driven by Jackie and John Richardson.

What does F of W do?

The Friends of Woodcraft give up their time and brave all weathers for hours on end, organising events at local fete’s, fun days and attending regular car boot and table-top sales in a number of locations. They also raise donations and financial support from local businesses.

Last year alone F o W were able to give the group £1000 which we used to subsidies not only our summer camp but also day trips and special group night events. F o W also provide each new member with a Woodcraft Folk back pack which we use not only as a practical item for outings and off site trips but also a clear indicator to others that we belong together.

Could you be a Friend of Woodcraft?

There are a number car boots and events across the Reading area that F o W simply doesn’t have the man power to cover; these are not only missed opportunities to promote the good word of Woodcraft but also missed fund raising opportunities.

Could you run a stall one Saturday morning, or donate unwanted items and gifts for us to resell at future car boots,

If you feel you would like to help or join the Friends of Woodcraft please contact Tony Morley on 07521157062 and see what you can do, because every little really does help!

Thank You
